Miss Bailey's Blog - 26th April 2024
We welcome our Year 7 girls back from Cranedale today and we have been following their progress in Yorkshire over the week and they've clearly enjoyed their Geography and Science Field Trip together. Planning, final recce visits and risk assessing is coming together for our range of Main School June trips and the girls have so much fun and learning in store. It really is such a special part of our offering.
We are busy preparing for the annual Art Exhibition and Fashion Show in a few weeks and our showcase at Ravenscourt Park Prep's School Fair this week was a success and we look forward to heading into London again on Tuesday next week to the Bute House Fair where we will be proud to feature Godstowe in all its glory. Tomorrow, we welcome hundreds of local shoppers to the JK Theatre for the inaugural Kindness in Bucks nearly new sale and swap shop. Do come along to find your bargain and my thanks to Miss Smart and her team for introducing such a fresh new initiative.
I am heading off to the annual BSA Heads Conference after the bank holiday and this is always a highlight for me with the chance to attend the highest quality workshops and talks, as well as mingle with colleagues across prep and senior boarding schools. This year, we have the added benefit of being shortlisted for the 'Supporting Junior Boarders' award which will add a touch of sparkle and promise to the awards dinner. This week's Boarders' video is an absolute gem. They get more creative every week and are a real feature of our weekly celebration assemblies.
Have a super weekend and look forward to seeing you all back next week.
