Miss Bailey's Blog - Week 23, 2024
I am sending this to you all from (a not so sunny) Derby, where I have been with Heads and colleagues in the last two days with IAPS. Whilst I love being at school with your girls and my team, as you know, the value of stepping away and gaining a sense of perspective, to meeting new colleagues and unashamedly 'magpie-ing' some terrific ideas which have been tried and tested across the national prep school sector, is huge. Godstowe is incredibly fortunate to be part of such a forward looking and supportive organisation as IAPS and I plan to be implementing and sharing many of the opportunities I have been previously unaware of. These will only benefit our girls and staff and our view to the road ahead. What an inspiring few days, and with my outlook every growing, I have been nothing short of impressed by the network we can now use to make our offering ever stronger.
It was wonderful to see so many of you at our successful Senior Schools Fair on Tuesday this week and I know that our Lodge Recital was a musical knock-out, with so many of our youngest members of Godstowe excelling and showcasing their talents.
We are forward looking to the end of term, now and I look forward to seeing many of you at our Uppers parent evening tonight. Have a wonderful exeat weekend and good luck to our cross-country runners tomorrow!
