Boarders' Corner - life in Highlands
With such a diverse group of children living in Highlands House, our Boarding House for Lower School, Saskia and Nancy talk about their boarding experiences.
Q: What do you love most about boarding in Highlands?
Nancy - What I like the most are the activities on the weekend, it’s the most wonderful time of the week when we can relax and play and have fun!
Saskia - I like boarding in Highlands because its super fun and outstanding!
Q: What is your favourite thing about living in a dorm with friends?
Nancy - Its when we can help each other with stuff when they need help.
Saskia - My favourite about it is they are so kind and generous!
Q: Do you get homesick and what do you do to help it?
Nancy - So I normally tell them to forget about homesickness and think about happy things.
Saskia - I do get homesick but most of the time I forget about it and how I combat it is by hugging any soft things around me.
Q: What is your favourite activity that we have done as a boarding community this term?
Nancy - It’s of course the Waddesdon Manor Christmas trip. I loved shopping when i was young!
Saskia - Going to Wildwood and many other activities we’ve done.
