Godstowe Staff make vital PPE equipment for local hospitals
Staff at Godstowe have been busy during the Easter break, laminating 1400 pouches to make into visors for Stoke Mandeville and Wycombe Hospitals. The pouches were made in their homes and then collected by a member of staff and delivered to the hospitals last Friday.
Initiated by Head of Early Years, Hannah Smart, this has been a real team effort by our teachers. The project was in response to a request from Stoke Mandeville Hospital for donations of the pouches to make into visors for frontline staff due to a shortage of PPE.
Staff have also been collecting fabric to sew into wash bags for NHS staff scrubs to help limit the spread of infection from used uniforms.
Sophie Green, Headmistress commented "This, alongside other initiatives, makes me extremely proud of our staff and parents. Godstowe's strong sense of community and family spirit has really come into its own to embrace the challenge facing us."
