Great results at first Cross Country match of the season

Gold medals and individual placings for our teams at RAF Halton 

On Saturday 19th September, Godstowe competed against 15 other schools in the first cross country match of the season. Held at RAF Halton, each race involved at least 60 runners and the U8 and U9 races attracted more than 80 competitors. 

Our Under 8 and Under 9 teams did extremely well and won the gold medal, while the Under 11s won the silver medal. The Under 10s narrowly missed out on a bronze medal and finished fourth. 

The full results are as follows:

Individual:

Under 8s - Jemima Lee-Brock came 5th, Pascale Ashley came 8th and Harriet Mackenzie finished 9th. This was the girls' first ever cross country match.

Under 9s - Lucy Baker came 3rd, Lila Gardner came 4th and Georgie Larard came 7th.

U10s - Annabel Tanner finished 4th.

U11s - Maya Baker came 9th and Alice Crowston came 10th.

Team medals:

Under 8s - Jemima, Pascale and Harriet won the Gold team medal

Under 9s - Lucy, Lila and Georgie won the Gold team medal

Under 10s - Annabel, Zoe and Zahra were awarded the 4th place team medal

Under 11s - Maya, Alice and Darcie won the Silver team medal
