Gold for Godstowe Runners

On Saturday 18th September Godstowe had their first Cross Country match of the season at Chenies Manor against many other schools. Each race involved at least 50 runners and the Form 1 and 2 races had 70 participants. All the Godstowe ran brilliantly and we were very proud of all our new runners this year and the large number of medal winners we had.  

Individual medal winners are as follows…

In the Under 8 race Ingrid came 1st, Holly came 2nd, Coco came 3rd, Elodie came 4th and Isla came 6th. 

In the Under 9 race Mala came 2nd, Xanthe came 4th and Martha came 8th.

In the Under 10 race Ines came 1st, Juliet came 2nd, Ella came 3rd, Elysia came 5th and Elsie came 8th. 

In the Under 11 race Katie came 2nd. 

We also achieved many excellent team medals which were awarded to the top four runners in each year.

The Under 8’s – Ingrid, Holly, Coco and Isla won the Gold team medal

The Under 9’s  - Mala, Xanthe, Martha and Lucy won the Silver Team medal

The Under 10’s  -  Ines, Juliet, Ella and Elysia won the Gold Team medal

The Under 11’s  - Katie, Mair, Poppy and Kiana won the Gold Team medal

This means that all of the Godstowe teams won the gold medal, something that we have not managed before!
