The Godstowe String Quartet, comprising Amy Oh (violin), Carina Shenouda (violin), Alexandra Day (viola) and Lexie Shenouda (cello) joined numerous other competitors to take part in the South East Chamber Music Competition for Secondary Schools at Wycombe Abbey.
Having been coached by Miss Emma Lake, they performed the First Movement of the D-Minor String Quartet by Haydn. The adjudicator
Mr Richard Ireland commented on how well the girls performed, particularly as they were playing challenging pieces for their age group and encouraged them to continue.
The girls are pictured here with Mr Ireland, Wycombe Abbey’s Head of Strings Mr Nicholas Hadwen, Wycombe Abbey’s Assistant Director of Music Miss Sarah McClure and Godstowe’s Miss Lake.
