U13s win Heathfield Lacrosse Tournament

The U12 and U13 A lacrosse teams played in a highly competitive lacrosse tournament on Sunday 11th October, where the U13 team were victorious

The U13 A lacrosse team were crowned joint winners of the Heathfield Lacrosse Tournament on Sunday. Godstowe played five back-to-back matches in their section, winning four and losing one, putting them through to the semi-finals. After an exciting semi-final, in which they played some outstanding lacrosse, they advanced to the final. 

They played a very tense match against St Catherine's, with both teams giving it their all. As the final whistle was blown, the scoreboard read 3-3, pushing the game into extra time. Following an extra three minutes both teams had scored an extra goal each and the result was declared a draw.

The U12s also played extremely well. Having won all of their matches and drawing one in their section, they went on to the semi-final. Unfortunately they narrowly lost by one goal, finishing in third place overall. Players of the match were Talia Dicks and Maria Cremades.

The U12 and U13 B teams also had a successful weekend, playing St Helen and St Katherine on Saturday (10th October). The U12 Bs won their match 5-3 and the U13 Bs drew 6-6.
